Message from our Executive Director

Second Chance Bouquet supporters, volunteers, and followers:

After much prayer and contemplation, it is with a heavy heart that are announcing the suspension of operations of our charitable mission of providing joy and happiness through recycled flowers to local nursing homes, hospices and hospitals.

Effective May 1st, 2025 we will no longer accept donations of flowers or vases from any wedding or special event to deliver to deserving local residents.

We know there is a need for this ministry in the Omaha metro area and we are continuing to actively seek out a group or individuals to take over SCB’s operations. If you know of a group or an individual who may have that passion for providing joy and happiness to the local community, please contact us.

Meanwhile, if you have flowers from a wedding or special event, please contact your local nursing home, hospital, or hospice to donate; we know the residents would LOVE to have them.  Also, if you have vases you would like to donate, please contact a local florist; they would love to re-use your vases.

Finally, we want to thank everyone who supported, volunteered, and donated to SCB over these past eight years.  It has been amazing to see the growth and spread of our mission to deliver joy and happiness through recycled flowers. We hope to see the SCB mission continue into the future. Thanks so much and God bless.
